• See shows
• Get experience through working in places such as theatres
• Partake in workshops 
• Take into account cost of everything
• Make your own work when its not given to you
• Challenge everything - have opinions
• Deal with rejections and don't ;let it affect you, develop thick skin
• Don't lose self worth in 'fickle' industry
• Practice and don't let talent carry you
• Take risks and make bold, justified choices
• Be a nice person and a team player so that people want to work with you
• If schools ask you where else you have applied, don't say more than three
